Getting the most out of Skreenit

Skreenit connects recruiters and job seekers with AI-assisted screening — resume analysis, video interviews, and skill assessments — from account creation through to a hire. This manual is split into two parts; use the switch below for the one that matches you.

Chapter 1

Getting started

Everything from your first visit to the moment you can post a job.

Create your account

Registration is one form — there's no separate company sign-up step. Go to the registration page and fill in:

Register as: Recruiter Full name Mobile Email Location Password + confirm

Your password needs at least 8 characters, mixing upper- and lower-case letters, a number, and a special character. Accept the terms and privacy checkbox to submit.

Verify & sign in

After submitting, you'll see a confirmation screen reminding you to check your inbox (and spam folder) for a verification email, then redirecting you to the login page after 15 seconds. Click the link in that email to confirm your address, then sign in.

Set up your company profile

Your first sign-in takes you to your recruiter profile before anything else. This is where you enter your company details, not at registration:

Company name Company website Company description Contact name Contact email Personal avatar Company logo

Company name, contact name, and contact email are required. Saving this generates your Company ID — until then your profile shows as "Pending," and you won't be able to post a job.

Why this matters: job posting is blocked server-side until your company profile is complete, so do this first even if you want to jump straight to a job listing.
Chapter 2

Your account

Signing in & switching roles

Sign in with your email and password. If your email is linked to more than one role (for example both a candidate and a recruiter account), you'll get a role-selection prompt each time — pick the one you want for that session.

Forgot your password? Use "Forgot password" to get a reset link by email, then set a new one. You can also change your password any time from account settings while signed in.

Editing your details

Your recruiter profile page is reusable at any time, not just during onboarding — return to it to update your company description, website, logo, or contact details as things change.

Chapter 3

Posting jobs

Three ways to get from a blank form to a published listing — write it by hand, upload an existing JD, or have Skreenit draft one for you.

Create a listing

Start a new job and fill in the core details:

Job titleDepartmentRole Employment typeJob typeOpenings Location / RemoteExperience rangeSalary range Notice periodIndustryEducation SkillsDiversity hiringDescription ResponsibilitiesRequirementsContact person

Autofill from a JD file

Already have a job description as a PDF, Word doc, or text file? Upload it on the job-creation page and Skreenit reads it and fills in the matching fields for you — review and adjust anything it got wrong before continuing.

Generate a JD with JD Writer

Starting from nothing? Open JD Writer, describe the role, and Skreenit drafts a full job description in the background — you'll be notified when it's ready. Every JD you generate is saved to your company's library, so you can reuse it on future listings from "Use Available JDs" instead of writing one again.

Publish & share

Once you publish, a share panel appears with a copyable link and a scannable QR code — hand either one to candidates directly, post it externally, or drop it into the listing yourself.

Chapter 4

Finding candidates

Search candidates

Use Candidate Search to filter your applicant pool by keyword, JRF/reference number, job, application status, or an experience range. Within a specific job, "Rank with AI" reorders the results by fit.

Analyze a resume

Upload any candidate's resume to Resume Analysis and Skreenit returns AI-generated insights plus a set of 5–10 interview questions, graded Easy/Medium/Hard, tailored to that resume. This tool is free for every recruiter — it isn't part of a paid plan.

Chapter 5

Reviewing applications

Every application moves through the same pipeline:

Pending→ Reviewed→ Interviewing→ Move to assessment→ Hired / Rejected

Open any application to watch the candidate's introduction video and their per-question interview responses, and to see identity-verification and video-analysis results alongside them. Move candidates forward or reject them directly from this screen — moving someone to "Move to assessment" is also how you trigger sending them an assessment (Chapter 7).

Chapter 6

Scheduling interviews

The Interviews Calendar gives you a month view of everything scheduled. Click a date or a candidate to open the detail panel, where you can reschedule or cancel — cancelled and completed interviews no longer show a cancel option. You can also schedule directly from a candidate's Resume Analysis result or from bulk actions on your applications list.

Chapter 7

Sending assessments

The Assessment Wizard walks you through choosing what a candidate takes, then you choose how to send it.

Build an assessment

  1. Pick a jobChoose which posting this assessment is for.
  2. Upload the JD (optional)Skreenit analyzes it to recommend relevant assessment content — this is cached, so re-analyzing the same JD is instant.
  3. Choose the contentPick from AI-recommended assessments, browse the full library of 60+, or upload your own material for Skreenit to turn into an assessment.
  4. ConfirmSave the configuration to the job.

Send it to candidates

Three ways to deliver an assessment link, chosen per situation:

Open link

One link, reusable

Anyone with the link can take it — good for open call-outs.

Per-candidate

One link per invite

A single-use link and QR code generated for one specific candidate, no extra verification needed.

Shared, gated

Shared link, verified

One link/QR shared with a group; each candidate verifies their identity by email or mobile before starting.

Candidates don't need a Skreenit account to take an assessment from an invite link — they identify themselves and fill a short form the first time they open it.

Chapter 8

Analysis reports

Once a candidate's video responses are in, Analysis Reports gives you the aggregate view: average words-per-minute, filler-word rate, and a score and summary per question. If a candidate re-records or you want a fresh read, use Re-Analyze on that application.

Chapter 9

Notifications

The bell icon on your dashboard tracks application status changes, finished JD generations, assessment reminders, and similar events. Mark items read individually or all at once, or clear them out entirely.

Chapter 10

Premium & subscriptions

Recruiter Premium unlocks the Reports hub under ATS Services and Detailed Analysis reports. To subscribe, pick a plan, apply a coupon if you have one, and complete payment through the Razorpay checkout — your plan activates as soon as payment confirms.

Good to know: everyday tools — job posting, candidate search, resume analysis, the assessment wizard, interview scheduling — work on every account. Premium is specifically about the deeper reporting layer.
Chapter 1

Getting started

From your first form to a complete, hireable profile.

Create your account

Register as: Job Seeker Full name Mobile Email Location Password + confirm

Your password needs at least 8 characters with upper- and lower-case letters, a number, and a special character.

Verify your email

Check your inbox (and spam folder) for a confirmation email — you'll be redirected to the login page automatically 15 seconds after registering. Click the link to confirm, then sign in.

Complete your profile

Your first sign-in takes you straight into a guided profile wizard — you can't reach your dashboard until it's done:

  1. PersonalUpload your resume first — Skreenit reads it and pre-fills the rest of this step — then confirm your personal info and current/permanent address.
  2. ProfessionalProfessional details and social/portfolio links.
  3. EducationSchooling, pre-university (12th/diploma), graduation, and post-graduation.
  4. SkillsSkills, languages, certifications, and an optional cover letter.
  5. ExperienceYour current or most recent role.
  6. ReviewCheck everything over and choose your interview language.
  7. Video introductionRecord answers to three AI-generated questions personalized from your resume, via your webcam — review and re-record each one before accepting.

You can return to this same wizard any time later to update your profile or re-record your introduction video.

Chapter 2

Your account

Signing in & password reset

Use "Forgot password" on the login page to get a reset link by email, then set a new password.

Editing your profile

Your profile page covers your introduction video (with an AI communication-skills breakdown), experience, education, skills, specializations, assessment results, achievements, recent activity, and your resume. Click Edit Profile to make changes to any section.

Deleting your account

On the Skreenit mobile app, you can delete your account instantly and directly from your profile screen.

On the web, there's no in-app delete button yet. Instead, submit the account-deletion request form with your email and (optionally) a reason — this queues your account for manual deletion, typically within 7 business days, rather than removing it immediately. If you want your data gone right away, use the mobile app instead.
Chapter 3

Jobs

Search for jobs

Filter open roles by position, skills, company, location, education level, job type, and salary, or just search by keyword.

Apply to a job

Click Apply on any listing. If you already have an introduction video on file, you'll be asked whether to reuse it, record a fresh one for this application, or skip it — then your application is submitted. Skreenit blocks duplicate applications to the same job automatically.

Chapter 4

Tracking applications

My Applications shows every job you've applied to, each with a status:

Applied→ Interviewing→ Interview submitted→ Completed / Rejected

Each application also shows a match-score badge and lets you play back any interview videos you've recorded for it.

Chapter 5

Resume tools

From your profile, run AI Resume Analysis on your own resume to see how it reads and where it could improve. A separate resume-builder tool can also check formatting, suggest a template, rewrite sections with AI help, score your resume, and convert it between templates.

Chapter 6

Assessments

Recruiters invite you to assessments; the format varies by role:

Multiple choice

Standard MCQ questions.

Coding challenge

Short programming problems.

Written response

Free-text answers.

Spoken formats

Read-aloud, repeat-sentence, verbal Q&A, topic speaking, and scenario responses.

If you already have a Skreenit account, assessments assigned to you also appear under your dashboard. If you were invited by link and don't have an account, opening the link takes you through a short guest form (personal info, address, work experience, review) before you start the assessment itself — no registration required.

Chapter 7

Video interviews

Once an application reaches the interview stage, open the Interview Room to answer AI-generated questions one at a time. Record each answer with your webcam, re-record if you're not happy with a take, and submit — your recruiter reviews the finished set from their side.

Chapter 8

Notifications

Check the bell icon on your dashboard for updates on your applications and assessments. The mobile app also gives you a full notifications screen if you'd rather review everything in one place.

Chapter 9

Skill assessment plans

Premium Skill Assessments are individual plans and assessment bundles you can purchase directly — separate from recruiter pricing. Browse what's available under Premium Features on your dashboard and complete purchase through the secure checkout.
